A limited edition hand-stitched journal I created in collaboration with poet John Glenday, accompanied by an exhibition of stitch translation sketches inspired by 'Untitled, Disks (1972)' by artist Mira Schendel. Launching at StAnza 4–8 March 2020.

John Glenday lives and works in Scotland. He has published four collections: The Apple Ghost (1989); Undark (1995); Grain (Picador, 2009) – Grain was shortlisted for both the Ted Hughes Award and the Griffin International Poetry Prize; and The Golden Mean (Picador, 2015) won the 2015 Roehampton Poetry Prize.

Artist Mira Schendel (1919–1988) born in Zurich, fled war-torn Europe for Brazil in 1949. Although Mira remained relatively unknown outside of Brazil, where she was an important and prolific artist, her Tate exhibition in 2013–14 introduced her to a wide audience. Her work using thread, transparency, and space left a powerful effect, inspiring this project.
